Potential Benefits to ArtShowcase Buyers
Many art buyers love to connect personally with the artist and there are a variety of benefits briefly explained here.
The buyer is paying the price that the artist feels a piece is worth without the artist having to inflate the price to cover the costs of gallery fees, exhibition fees, commission costs etc thereby it’s a win win situation for both parties.
As framing is often a personal choice, many clients prefer to purchase a painting unframed, others like to ask the artist to take a piece to their favoured framers and of course a great deal of artists frame their work themselves. Again, by dealing directly with the artist these variables can be discussed and arranged accordingly.
Buyers are able to contact the artists and enquire about the possibility of a Commission, the timescale and costs involved. Most artists welcome commissions, but not all and there are a great many things to take into consideration, i.e. the subject of the painting, the size, whether it is a Canvas painting or a piece that is delicate and requires mounting and framing behind glass such as soft pastel paintings etc.
You will quite often find that an artist requires 50% payment prior to commencing a commissioned piece, however, this is entirely down to the individual artist and will be discussed between both parties, the artist and the client prior to commencing the Commission.
Some buyers like to purchase a collection or a series of artworks. When dealing directly with an artist, a buyer is able to request to be notified when a new piece has been completed and given the option to purchase the finished piece.
Searching for an Artist
You will notice there are search boxes top and bottom right on every page of the site so you can narrow it down if you are looking for a particular type or genre of Artwork (i.e. Impressionist, Animal Art, Landscape, Figurative etc) or you can of course browse at your leisure and discover a wide variety of styles and talents throughout. Contacting an Artist
If you wish to get in touch with a particular Artist, please do visit his/her Showcase Gallery where you can contact him/her directly via their personal and private Contact Form and do please let them know where you discovered them too.
A client is able to decide with the artist how they wish to have the painting packaged and shipped if they are not local and are therefore unable to collect a painting in person.
As ArtShowcase take no part in any sales or discussions between the two parties, payment discussions will be entirely between the Artist and Buyer.
